Education Scenario to Study in New Zealand

New Zealand has 8 state-funded universities, 16 institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITP) and about 550 Private Training Establishments (PTE) which include English language training as well. Universities offer higher degree-level education. Programs are research-led therefore the PhD education is at the same cost for international students as for local students. In the 2015/16 QS World University Rankings, all eight of New Zealand’s universities were in the top 100 in at least one subject. ITPs and a few larger PTEs offer vocational degree-level education. PTEs tend to offer specific vocational programs, mainly at certificate and diploma level.

Masters

15 & 16 year Education with 70% above or 7.5/10 or 3.0/4.0 CGPA
IELTS – 6.5 overall min 6.0 or TOEFL – 85 overall min 20 each
In case of MBA Work Experience 2 – 3 years at managerial level GMAT – 600 (exceptionally required)
Ph.D. – Research experience and paper publications

Education Scenario to Study in New Zealand

Undergraduate - Bachelors ​

A good academic record in High School Certificate a minimum of 12 years of schooling with a score of about 70%
and higher.
Some courses such as Computing and Engineering will require Mathematics and /or Science as pre-requisites
A 6.0 overall band in IELTS with a minimum of 5.5 in each. ​

Postgraduate - Masters ​

A good academic record in Bachelor’s Degree is necessary Some universities may even accept student at 60% and
above in the 1st degree
GRE/GMAT scores are not needed
Any work experience in the field will be helpful For MBA programs at some Universities students need to have work
experience along with their Bachelor’s Degree
A 6.5 overall band in IELTS with a minimum of 6.0 in each.
